Rest In Peace, Whitney.

Wow, my heart is heavy right now. It's been about two hours since I've read and heard the news on Twitter and TV and I still can't believe it. Another legend has gotten their angel wings. I grew up listening to Whitney and wishing I had her beautiful voice. She was beautiful and talented and she is another legend gone too soon. Only 48 years old and she's gone. While she went through her trials and tribulations (because we all do), it doesn't change the fact that she's influenced and inspired millions with her beauty and that unforgettable voice. Songs like Greatest Love of All, which happens to be one of my favorites, give people hope and inspiration. Music is such a powerful thing and when you're a music lover like myself, you somehow become attached to the person responsible for singing/rapping/writing lyrics about situations that you can identify with and it's reassuring and comforting. I've been a Whitney fan since I was a little girl and the fact that I've lost another legend I grew up listening to is devastating. Legends are never forgotten and there will never be another like you. Rest in peace, Whitney.
