Operation: Jet Set... Sort of.

I don't have the funds to "jet set", but one of my goals this spring and summer is to soak up the sun and travel. Over the past 4.5 years I've been the broke college student just trying to find a way to pay tuition and make sure I'm registered for classes. Now that I'm working again and don't have to depend on my parents to help pay for books, I've decided to put money aside in my savings for any trip(s) I decide to take this year.

I've never been to Florida, California or Chicago and I'm dying to get back to NYC. The first (and last) time I visited NYC, Philly & New Jersey was in 2004 when we went to Jersey for a few days to visit my grandma. Well, I was 16 then and I'm 23 now. That trip is overdue. I don't wanna be trapped in my hometown all summer. I just wanna take advantage of this time to travel and experience new things, hopefully meet new people and create more memories. My dad tells me all the time that I should take advantage of my youth and make a random trip somewhere just because. I'm definitely going to take his advice. I wanna play in the sand on the beach, visit important monuments and go to all the summer concerts I possibly can! In short, I just wanna live life and enjoy my favorite time of year. I've earned it!
