Operation: Healthy & Chic

For the past two years I've tried to get on the right path regarding my health and eating habits, but I always got sidetracked. I would start making healthy choices, but life would get in the way and I would go back to Pizza Hut or Wendy's for dinner after a long day. Being in school full-time and being involved in extracurricular activities definitely played a part in me falling off the wagon and this June I tried and failed again. I graduated last August so this time it was nothing but lack of dedication and discipline.

This time I'm really sticking to it. Sometimes a lot of us take our youth for granted and watch our friends and loved ones suffer from health issues due to their weight and eating habits. I've been relatively healthy all my life, but let's be honest, I'm almost five years away from 30 and the older you get, the harder it is to lose weight.



I'm finally stepping up and taking responsibility over my health and making better choices, the main one being my diet. Weight loss is about 80% diet, 20% exercise. I look back on all the times I've spent six or seven bucks on fast food in a couple of days, when that money equals up to about $20-$30 and could've easily been spent on groceries that would last longer than 30 minutes.  I take better care of my electronics than I do my own body. NOT OKAY. We're only given one body and one life so I have to take care of it because nobody else will. After watching other people make changes and come out with amazing results, it definitely motivates me. Tumblr and Pinterest having amazing resources and tips on health and fitness.
