As much as I've heard about Kendrick Lamar in the past year I never bothered to give him a listen until this past Saturday when I downloaded Section.80 and previewed the album.  I gotta say that I was automatically sold and that doesn't happen too often when it comes to the hip-hop I listen to. People may say I'm jumping on the "Kendrick Lamar Bandwagon" and that's fine. Good music is good music. What I like most about his sound is that he's a storyteller and he speaks on his own first-hand experiences. Those are the things I appreciate most about some of my favorites (Kanye West, Drake, Lupe Fiasco, etc.)

I love the entire concept of the album, from the interludes down to the artwork. A few of my go-to cuts at the moment are Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe, Swimming Pools (Drank), Backseat Freestyle and Poetic Justice featuring one of my absolute favorites, Drizzy Drake. Poetic Justice should definitely be a single in the future. I don't wanna give too much away, but I recommend [legally] supporting a quality album. Kendrick Lamar is definitely one of a kind. I was sold on him after one day of giving him a listen. Good stuff!
