Hello, I'm back.
Posted on July 9, 2013

I kind of took an unplanned hiatus from blogging because I didn't have anything I wanted to talk about here, but I've done a lot of thinking over the past two months and I can kind of see some things clearly again.

First of all, if you're a twentysomething who is struggling to find your purpose and you need direction on where to start or you just want to hear about somebody's story similar to yours, I recommend The Defining Decade by Dr. Meg Jay. I absolutely loved the book and she covered everything I ever wondered about regarding how to live life throughout the rest of my 20s and how not to be lost still in my 30s and 40s. After having a talk with myself, some of my family and my friends, I've decided to take the steps to make the best of my remaining twentysomething years and life of course.

Post grad life over the past two years has taught me a few things and I've learned that it's something everyone goes through. It can be a very frustrating, confusing time, but you have to have the right mindset to get through it and live your life how you want to live it. I still have my unsure moments and I'm still growing and learning even at 25. If I get up and take action, I believe everything will eventually fall into place.

It's easy to get caught up in the shoulda coulda woulda's, but you can't rewind time. All you can do is account for now and that's what I plan to do! I'm not sure what the future holds for me just yet, but I do know that I won't sit and let life pass me by without making something happen. You have to take charge in order to find your purpose, peace of mind, happiness, or whatever it is you may be in search of.

Don't ever sit idle waiting for things to happen. Baby steps are better than no steps and eventually you have to exit your comfort zone to grow. I've kinda known that all along, but sometimes those simple messages slip your mind and you're too overwhelmed or frustrated to fully receive it. I get it now!

I'm still trying to sort out what I want to do with this site and other areas of my life and once everything is official, I'll be ready to share it!

I hope this random spill of mine helps someone and again I strongly recommend The Defining Decade. It's an amazing book!

To new beginnings, lessons and life... Cheers!
